I'm very fascinated with faces. Not just the eyes (as with Gericault in his portraits of the mentally ill), or the mouth (as in Samuel Beckett's "Not I"), but the contour of the naked scalp, the flesh's uneven plane along the curve of the skull. Expect more paintings similar to this one, some day.
