Description
This piece was inspired by Ezra Pound's use of the image: "the rose in the steel dust," in his Pisan Cantos. During his stay in Pisa, being held as the most dangerous prisoner, a former member of Mussolini's cabinet and convinced of certain death, he observed through "the caged panther's eyes" that all forces were moving through his point of reference.
